Show Mr., Mrs. Glen Wilson Honeymoon in Yellowstone After Church Rites The flower-banked foyer of the Fourth-Seventh ward church formed a pretty setting for the wedding j and reception for Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wilson, held on Friday evening of last week. The charming bride, formerly Miss Laura Nell Althouse, is the daughter of Mrs. W. E. Newman and LaVon Althouse of Springville, Spring-ville, Mr. Wilson's parents are Mr. and Mrs. George G. Wilson. The marriage ceremony performed per-formed in the early evening was by Bishop Frank Berrett of the Fourth ward. The bride exchanged vows in a pretty ankle-length gown of lace and net over taffetta topped with a close fitting bolera jacket with long sleeves and tiny collar. Her veil was shoulder-length caught to a crown of seed-pearls. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Renee Linstrom who wore a gown of white lace over orchid and bridesmaids, Sharon Lee Althouse, Kathleen Wilson and Annette Ewell wore gowns of pastel pas-tel colors and carried nosegays of blue and pink blossoms which had been fashioned by the bridegroom's bride-groom's mother. Patty Wilson and Eileen Averett in pink net were flower girls. Louis Beardall was best man. Guests arriving for the reception recep-tion which followed the wedding ceremony, were greeted by Mrs. George A. Anderson, grandmother of the bride who introduced them to the bridal line. In the line were besides the bride and groom and attendants, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Newman, and Mr. and Mrs. LaVon La-Von Althouse. Mrs. Ned Larsen had charge of the guest book and Mrs. Hugh Roylance, Mrs. Sheldon Nielson and Mrs. Maurice Anderson arranged ar-ranged the gifts. Highlighting the pink and blue color scheme carried out throughout through-out the entertainment rooms, was the pink and blue wedding cake, three-tiered and topped with wedding wed-ding bells. It was encircled with flowers and blue tapers. Serving was done by Marion Hulce, Mrs. A. W. McCoy of Provo and Mrs. LaMar Averett. As the reception proceded, string music was furnished by Mrs. Lewis Bird, Mrs. Edward Forshee and Mrs. Juan Whiting and vocal selections were giyen by Mrs. Orvil Clark, accompanied by Mrs. Forshee. Lynn Hanks was master of ceremonies cer-emonies for the program which included: in-cluded: a tribute to the bride and gr.oom by Mrs. A. H. Mortensen; a vocal duet, Mrs. Reed Averett and Mrs. LuDean Litster accompanied accom-panied by Shelia Averett; pantomimes panto-mimes by Jean Smith; accordian numbers, Brent Rigtrup. The young couple left on a honeymoon trip to Yellowstone park and for her going-away outfit out-fit the bride chose a navy ensemble en-semble with white accessories. On their return, they will make their home in Springville. |
