Miss Diane Webber Recites Vows With Teddie Sorensen of Orem In an impressive church ceremony performed by Bishop Bliss Packard of the Third ward, Miss Diane Webber, lovely daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Webber of SpringviIle became thej bride of Teddie Sorensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Sorensen of Orem. The wedding took place on Friday, Fri-day, March 16, and a pretty reception re-ception followed the ceremony. The bride choose a beautiful slipper satin and tulle fashioned with chapel train for her wedding gown. Her veil of illusion fell from a crown of heart-shaped seed-pearls seed-pearls and sequins and her bouquet bou-quet of white carnations and lilies-of-the-valley, centered with an orchid, or-chid, was arranged at the base of shirred silk net in shape of a heart. Bridesmaids, Jean Smith, Janet Soderlund, Evelyn Harmer and Shirlene Beardal, wore gowns of white and orchid while Mrs. Jean-ine Jean-ine Bailey matron of honor wore pale blue. Their tiny heart-shaped bouquets were of pink and white carnations. Billy Webber in navy and white acted as ring bearer carrying a heart-shaped white satin -pillow. Little Cathy Beardall in an orchid frock, was flower girl and held a 1 ! white satin basket with pink sweetpeas. Raymond Bailey was best man. Parents of the newlyweds were also in the receiving line, Mrs. Webber wearing a gray lace over pink and Mrs. Sorensen an orchid linen. Their corsages were of pink and white carnations. Joan Spalding was at the guest register and assisting in the gift room were Eloise Harmer, Carol Jean Bradshaw and the groom's sisters, Shirlene and Gale. Serving was at small tables each centered with a dainty golden heart of pink and white ribbon and net and lillies of the valley, designed design-ed and made by the groom's mother. moth-er. Kay Christensen,' Moani Johansen, Johan-sen, Karen Weight, Annette Llewellyn Lle-wellyn and Barbara Haymond served. ser-ved. A beautiful wedding cake resting rest-ing on a mirror was trimmed with sprays of roses and lillies of the valley on either side with tiny blue birds and was topped with a miniature bride and groom. White candelabra and cut flowers flow-ers added a pretty note to the background while a tiny white fence separating the auditoriunp from the reception area and a trellis of roses and pussywillows made a lovely setting. Mrs. Norma Mecham entertained entertain-ed with vocal selections during the evening; Howard Beardall and Diane Brown gave two vocal duets and the high school male quartet sang a number. The wedding march and other numbers were played by Carolyn Child, viola, and Nina Madsen, piano. After the reception the young couple left on a honeymoon to the canyons of southern Utah and are now making their home in SpringviIle. |
