Show Law Closing in on Unlicensed Dogs Of an estimated 1200 dogs in Springville city limits, only 62 had ( been licensed by the dog-tax dead- line Wednesday, reported Police 1 Officer Glenn W. Coffman, Jr. With instruction from the city to proceed with inforcement of the law, Mr. Coffman said that he had ' informed every dog owner of the city ordinance and that now if dog owners do not pay the license it will be his duty to immediately destroy the dog. Every dog must j have a license even if he is tied U up all day and night, Mr. Coffman said. Further if dogs are found off the owner's property at any time, y the owner if apprehended will be subject to a $10 fine for the first i offense. It will make no difference whether or not the dog has a license li-cense tag on his collar at the time, the police officer explained. . Owners who do not want their I dogs are asked also to contact the police officer. |
