Show Springville Youth Wins Bicycle In Recent Contest In every contest there is a winner, win-ner, sometimes by luck and sometimes some-times by skill and Newell Rigtrup, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Rigtrup, is a member of the latter group. , Through his skill 'in operating a Yo-Yo, popular paly thing of these days, he was awarded a bicycle bi-cycle in the contest marking the first showing of the 1952 Lincoln and Mercury automobiles by Harry Parsley, Inc., of Provo last Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, February 6. Newell, who is nine, was about the smallest boy in the contest but this fact did not detract his attention at-tention or determination to win the grand prize. There were about 50 boys ranging in ages from 7 to 12 years entered from Provo and other towns. The Springville prize winner kept his Yo-Yo going for a full 45 minutes before a large crowd of spectators, to walk off with the bicycle. |
