Show Saves Girl; Dies With Son Grundy, Va. While David Blankenship, 34, of Harmon, was out fishing with his son, Thurman, 14, and a neighbor girl, Lydia Endicott, 13, Thurman Thur-man accidentally 'lost his bal-lance bal-lance and fell against Lydia, and both fell into the river. The elder Blankenship dived in and dragged Lydia to safety. He went back to get Thurman, but both became entangled in the fishing lines and drowned. The fine drama or the fine piece of music does not make its auditor part of a crowd; it removes him, and every one else in the crowd, and makes him an individual. George Jean Nathan. |
