Show . -f. Local Blaine Rowland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dell Rowland, Kay Hardy, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hardy, and Bryce Thorn, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Thorn of Springville are among the high school graduates grad-uates who have enrolled at the University of Utah for this year. Considerable improvement has been made in the city the past few clays with the mowing and otherwise destroying of weeds and other debris aiong the city streets and walks. A crew has also been busy repairing the cement sidewalks. A large and appreciative crowd attended a musical concert given by t'ne Provo Second L.D.S. ward choir at the Fou.-lIi ward, Sunday evening. The meeting wan under the direction of the Elder's quorum. Bco-IiTve girls of the stake M. I. A.-were entertained at the Fourth ward Tuesday evening when a history of the bee and other topics relative to the girl's winter activities were discussed. Ladies' coats, dresses and other wearing apparel together with a quantity of men's clothing, val-uscd val-uscd at $250 were taken from the J. C. Penney store sometime last Wednesday night or Thursday Thurs-day morning, according to a report re-port by City Marshall L. S. Hay-mond. Hay-mond. Entrance was gained to the building by a rear window. The burglary was found at 1:45 a. m. Thursday when Night Marshall Mar-shall make his rounds of the business busi-ness district. |
