Show UTAHNS GREET SENATOR KING Senptor William H. King, senior Utah solon at Washington, was giv. tumultuous receptions both in Ogden and Salt Lake City upon his arrival there Monday morning morn-ing from Washington after a 2-year 2-year absence from Utah. Senator King will deliver the patriotic address here at the tabernacle in the American Legion's Independence Inde-pendence Day celebration. The patriotic assembly begins at 11 a. m. Senator King arrived in Ogden by train, and, after a home-coming address there, was escorted to Salt Lake City by a large automobile auto-mobile caravan, led by Governor Henry H. Blood. The senator did not make any formal announcement of his candidacy can-didacy for reelection this fall, as his term of office expires this year, but it was taken from his speeches that he would rely on his record fight for silver and reclamation during the last session ses-sion of Congress for his chances of being returned. |
