Show SOCIETY NEVS i)r. ana Mrs. f red Dunn accompanied accom-panied by their two grandsons, Fred and "Buddy" Price, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Price of Salt Lake City, left recently on a month's vacation trip to the Centennial Cen-tennial exposition at Dallas, Tex. They also plan to spend some time visiting interesting places in southern California. Mrs. Frank Wicks and daughter daugh-ter Dona, Miss Audrey Jackson and Miss Stapley all of Los Angeles, An-geles, Cal., were visitors one day the past week at the home of Mrs. J. X. Gardner. Mrs. Alice Streeper Barrion also of Los Angeles, was a guest at the Doug-; Doug-; all home the past week. A number of Springville and Salt Lake City friends were guests at a breakfast given by Mrs. Preal Packard and Mrs. John Mendenhall in Salt Lake City Sunday. The display room was presided over by Miss Lucy Roylance, Miss Melva Miller, and Miss Hortense Crandall. Mrs. Huntington, Mrs. Arch Roylance, Misses Olive and Virginia Childs and Mrs. Roylance Roy-lance welcomed the guests. The Second ward Gleaner girls were entertained Tuesday . nighj . at the home of Misses Elaine and Hortense Crandall, with Miss Grace Bartholomew, Mrs. Mary S. Boyer, Miss Ida Hoffman, Miss Alzada Wilmott and Miss Madelyn Harrison, assisting hostesses. Mrs. Blanch Beal gave in a very interesting in-teresting manner, a review of the book, "North to the Orient," by Ai)ne Morrow Lindbergh. Other program numbers were a violin solo, Mrs. Eileen Bird, accompanied accompan-ied at the piano by Miss Helen Clark; musical readings, Pauline Boyer, accompanied by her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Mary S. The next meeting of the group which have been named "Koglegirs" will be held July 14, at the home of Mrs. Mae Fletcher. All are urged to be present. Mrs.- Erlying Roylance was guest of honor at a miscellaneous shower given by Mrs. A. G. Peterson Peter-son at her home Saturday night. About 30 relatives and friends attended. at-tended. A feature of the entertainment enter-tainment was a book review given by Mrs. Mae Huntington, which was especially interesting and enjoyed. en-joyed. Shirley Peterson entertained entertain-ed with vocal solos; Miss Barbara Bar-bara Gudmundson, piano solos; and Miss Evelyn Peterson, readings. read-ings. A tasty lunch was served by the hostess and many lovely gifts were received by the guest of honor. n Mrs. Lillian Huntington of this city announces the marriage of her daughter Lucy, to Erlying Roylance, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Roylance also of Springville, which took place Tuesday, June 30, at the home of the bride's mother. Bishop A. G. Peterson performed the ceremony in the presence of immediate family members. The bride was lovely in a light green silk lace dress with a corsage of pink rose buds. Miss Virginia Childs, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and wore a beautiful gown of pale blue crepe. Stanley E. Peay of Provo, acted as best man. Following the ceremony, cere-mony, an informal reception was held and immediately after the couple left on a short wedding trip to southern Utah. The bride wore a going-away costume of rose-beige with brown accessories. Upon their return the couple plan to make their home in this city. Complimentary to Mrs. Erlying Roylance, who was married Tuesday, Tues-day, Mrs. Lillian Huntington, mother of the bride entertained at a trousseau tea, at her home Sunday afternoon. Approximately 125 guests called during the afternoon. aft-ernoon. The entertaining rooms were beautifully decorated with baskets of pink larkspurs and the serving table cloth of Maderia was spread over pale pink satin. A delightful program was given during the afternoon with piano solos by Mrs. Eva Crandall and Pauline Clyde; vocal duets by Mrs. Jay Madsen and Mrs. Arvil Childs; vocal, solo, Mrs. Mack Sanford, accompanied by Miss Annie Fox. In charge of the serving room were Mrs. H. T. Reynolds Jr., Mrs. A. G. Peterson, Mrs. E. T. Crandall, Miss Mattie Davis of Provo, Mrs. Arvil Childs and Mrs. Mark Johnson of Castle- |
