Show Ray E. Dillman, Republican Cand.'-lor Governor, Is Speaker at Rally Here Ray E. Dillman of Roosevelt, Republican Re-publican candidate for governor was the principal speaker at the first rally held here during the present political campaign, Monday Mon-day night. He attacked the relief program inaugurated by . the Democratic party declaring that it had destroyed much self respect and reliance among the people." "The Democratic party is dominated domin-ated by a political machine," he said. r. Dillman told why he believed the sales tax should be eliminated from food stuffs. "The Democratic administration," he said, "has failed in its enforcement of- the state liquor law and pledged his j party to return beer to the juris- diction of local authorities." Although he voiced opposition to the return of the saloon, Mr. Dillman said counties, towns, and cities should have the right to license retail beer venders without restriction. Judge A. V. Watkins criticized the Democratic method of forcing false prosperity with borrowed money. Judge Elias Hansen also spoke on the judiciary branch of the government.
