Show MARY A. GILES LAID TO REST Relatives and friends paid final tributes to Mary Ann Giles, 77, of this city, who died Wednesday, at funeral services Sunday in the Third ward chapel. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, under the direction of A. Y. Wheeler mortuary. Mrs. Giles was born in Wield, Hampshire, England, August 14, 1858, and came to Utah with her parents, George and Mary Pear-man Pear-man Giles in 1868. She took an active part in church affairs during dur-ing her early life and was always a devoted mother and highly respected re-spected citizen of the community. She was married to Mr. Giles, December 16, 1880, in the endowment endow-ment house, Salt Lake City. Her husband died in 1911. She is survived by a son and a daughter, J. Albert Giles and Miss Mary E. Giles, Springville; 6 grandchildren and two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Francis Peterson, Peter-son, Mrs. Louisa Bulkley, Alfred Giles, Springville; 6 half brothers and sisters, Mrs. Agnes McKey, Mrs. Hattic Blackett, James Giles, Springville; Frank Giles, Moran, Wyo.; Edward Giles.
