Show 0 U P PRESENTS STATE FLAG TO ART BUILDING One of the interesting meetings of the past week held at the art gallery in connection with the art exhibit, was that of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, who met conjointly con-jointly on Wednesday. 'The group presented the Utah state flag to the art committee for the new art gallery. Tne presentation was made by Mrs. Mary J. Finley of the Springville camp and Principal Princi-pal W. W. Brockbank, president of the art committee, accepted the gift in behalf of the committee. Mrs. Kate Carter of the state D. U. P. organization attended the meeting" and spoke briefly as did Mrs. Roy Passey of the Utah county organization. Music was given by Miss Helen Palfreyman who sang a patriotic selection and Miss Louise Childs gave an instrumental instru-mental number. Following the program pro-gram a talk on the pictures in the exhibit was given by Wayne Johnson. |
