Show DRUGGISTS TO MEET IN PROVO Provo was selected as che 1935 convention of the Utah Pharmaceutical Pharma-ceutical association at the closing session of the state convention held Monday and Tuesday at Ogden. The invitation to come to Provo was extended by Mayor A. O. Smoot and Alex Hedquist, president presi-dent . of the Provo chamber of commerce, in a telegram sent by Mr. Hedquist to Wilford L. Anderson, Ander-son, president of the association. Booth Named President John E. Booth of Spanish Fork, state senator from Utah county, was elected, president of the association asso-ciation with J. W. Christensen Jr. of Provo, first vice president. At a meeting, Tuesday morning, morn-ing, 30 druggists who have been in the business for more than 25 years organized the Utah Veteran Druggists' association. Mr. Booth was elected secretary and treasurer treas-urer with John Boyden, Coalville, president. A committee approved a plan whereby the association will offer to the state the setup of wholesale whole-sale drug houses and registered retail drug stores as the best agencies" for the legal dispensing of intoxicating liquor. , The druggists' convention is the third obtained for Provo through the chamber of commerce during the past week. The other two are the United Commercial Travelers and the state high school band contest. |
