The Daughters of Utah Pioneers Pio-neers camps of Springville are planning a joint meeting and pro-giam pro-giam on Thursday, June 15, under the direction of Captains Zelma Heardall, Josie Alleman and Anna Mondenhall. The junior hign school and senior se-nior commencement ball on Thursday Thurs-day and Friday nights of the past week, were among the outstanding outstand-ing anil well attended social events of the season. A large group ot patrons also attended each event. Members of the S. T. Club were delightfully entertained last Thursday evening at the home of Mis. Hugh Baxter. Following a delicious hot luncheon served at small tables, contract - bridge was enjoyed. High score prize for the games was awarded to Mrs. W. H. Brown. In attendance were eleven club members and Mrs. W. H. Anderson also as a special guest. Members of the Ladies Literary elub will hold their last regular meeting of the season on Friday, June 2, at the home of Mrs. Beit Groesbeck. A delightful program is arranged for the evening's entertainment en-tertainment beginning at 7:30 o'clock. Miss Verana Graham, teacher at the Bingham schools, spent the week end with her sister, Mrs. Harold Christensen and family. Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Kenney of Salina spent Tuesday with friends and relatives in Springville on their return from a druggist's convention in Salt Lake City. The bride has been employed as teacher in the Nebo school district and the groom has been teaching at the Wellington junior high school in Carbon county. Mr. and Mrs. George Peterson and son Carl and daughter Phyl-is Phyl-is were in Salt Lake City Sunday Sun-day to visit another daughter, Leona Peterson, who is recovering recover-ing from a recent operation for appendicitis. On the occasion of her birthday, birth-day, Nana Lee Reynolds entertained enter-tained a group of school friends at her home Tuesday evening. Games and a nicely arranged birthday luncheon were enjoyed. Guests included, Coleen Callister, Anna Lee Walker, Norma Nell Straw, Carma Jean Mendenhall, Phylis Reynolds, Ardis Long, Joyce Pierce, Creed Jenkins, Blaine Ostler, Hal Clyde, Blair Sargent, Dick Crandall, Hal Christensen, Junior Nelson and Blaine Thorn. Members of the Current Study club entertained at a party complimentary com-plimentary to Miss Pricella Niel-son, Niel-son, a bride of the near future, Friday evening at Riverside Inn. From one long table a delicious chicken dinner was served and the group later played bridge. High score prize was won by Bertha Bearnson and the. consolation consol-ation by Mattie Davis. The guest of 'honor was presented with a lovely gift. Those in attendance were Rea Straw, Minerva Johnson, John-son, Melba Sumsion, Lillian Russell, Rus-sell, Ellen Sessions, Fay Bearnson, Bearn-son, Nell Matley, Bertha Bearnson, Bearn-son, Mattie Davis, Prudence Wride, Elda Hansen and the guest of honor, Miss Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Thompsette and daughters, Lois and Carol of Bremerton, Wash., visited last week with Mr. and Mrs; A. C. Chader and family in this city.
