Show Local League Team Wins In Game With Spanish Fork for the season at one dollar, it is announced. It is not a commercial com-mercial proposition but the charge is being- made only to pay expenses ex-penses incured when visiting teams play here. A recreation league game between be-tween the First ward M Men and the Business men teams ended in a 4-2 victory for the First warders, Tuesday night. On Monday night the American Legion was defeated by the Ute Service station team with the score of 20-4. Mark Brown pitched for the Utes and Ed Johnson for the Legionnaires. Plans are underway ior other phases of the city recreation program, pro-gram, it was announced Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Swimming, dancing and park recreation for children will be included in the program, details de-tails of which will be announced later. I i All boys who desire to join the American Legion Junior ibaseball are urged to be at practice daily at 5:30 p. m. Boys must have been 16 years old by March 31, to be eligible to join. . Springville broke into the win column Tuesday night when they beat the Spanish Fork Utah Idaho Sugar company Softball team at, Spanish Fork. The score was 12-' 4. Lamar Roylance pitched for ' the home team. ! Excellent playing featured the entire game, with outstanding hit- : ting by Doug Bills, "Chock" ! Ferguson, "Bet" Weight, and "VVif" Mower. Dunkley played a fine game on first base. Springville will play Eureka here Friday night. The local team was defeated by Eureka in the first game of the season in that city by a score 6-5 and the Springville Spring-ville aggregation plans to take the picks and shovels from the Miners here Friday. The manger of the league teams asks team members to wear their uniforms or any part thereof at practices and regular games only. In order to fiance league soft-hall soft-hall games it has become necessary neces-sary to charge a small admission fee of 10 cents to adults on nights when games are played here, it was announced. Charges however will not be made for any recreational rec-reational games played throughout through-out the season. Children of high school age will be admitted free of charge at all games.
