B. and Hannah Huntington family held a reunion Saturday evening at thej home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Clyde Featuring the entertainment were history of Mrs. Huntington by her daughter, Mrs. Ann Men-den Men-den hall and stories from Mr Huntington's 'diary also by Mrs. Mondenhall. Grant, Pauline and Calvin Clyde gave vocal music. Refreshments were served to: Mr. and Mrs. Will Rothwell and daughter Alice of Arco, Ida., Mr. and Mrs. Ed Money, Spanish Fork, Mrs. Lillian Huntington and daughters Olive and Lucy, Mr. and Mrs. Bird Huntington, Mrs. Margaret H. Jones of Tooele, John Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clark, Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Johnson, Mrs, J. H. Interesting and educational j papers on, "The Romance of Painting in America," by Mrs. C. O. Claudin and "The romance! of Music in America," by Mrs. G. L. Barron were enjoyed by all. Vocal selections by Mrs. Ellen; Anderson, accompanied by Mrs. Gene Hales were given in connection con-nection with the latter paper. The oficers of the club were reelected as follows: Mrs. C. E. Eggertson, president; Mrs. H. M. Dougall, vice-president; Mrs. D. B. Welch, secretary-treasurer. At the conclusion con-clusion of the meeting a dainty lunch was served to eighteen members and guests. Thorn and little daughter Correne of Salt Lake spent the past week with Mrs. Eliza Thorn and other relatives and frineds here. Mrs. David Reynolds of Salt Lake spent several days of the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Emmett Bird and family. Mrs. Ethel Money of Spanish Fork entertained her cousins o the Huntington family at the; home of her mother, 'Mrs. Will Huntington, Tuesday afternoon. In attendance were. Mrs. Ann Men-1 dcnhall, Velma Mendenhall, Mrs. 'Lillian Huntington, Mrs. Zinaf Condie, Mrs. Margaret Huntington, Hunting-ton, Mrs. Mae Huntington, Mrs. Percinda Oakley, Mrs. Elsie Thorn and Mrs. Hannah Clyde. Mrs. Eastham Clegg celebrated .her birthday anniversary Sunday with a dinner for relatives. Covers were laid for Mrs. Clara Larson of Blackfoot, Idaho; Mrs. John Larson and daughter La Rae, Mrs. Martha Stocked, Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Ludlow, Mrs. Emeline Bowers, Bow-ers, Mr. and Mrs. Spenton Boyack Spanish Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Springville last week on account of the death of Mr. Childs. Mrs. Bertram Dallin of this city entertained the Busy Finger club at her home Thursday afternoon. Ten club members and guests enjoyed en-joyed the time sewing after which a delicious luncheon was served. Mr. and Mrs. J. w Grant and Mrs. Ernest Strong left Friday for Kingsman, Arizona, on a business busi-ness and pleasure trip. They plan to be gone several days. Mrs. Florence B. Nelson entertained enter-tained at a nicely arranged shower show-er at her home here Wednesday evening, for Mrs. Orval Bray formerly for-merly Miss Olive Madsen, a recent re-cent bride. Games music and a tasty luncheon featured the affair with about "thirty guests attending. attend-ing. Many lovely gifts were received re-ceived gy the guest of honor. Out-of-town guests included Miss Ma-line Ma-line Sumner, Miss Orpha Nelson, Mrs. Clarance Bray, Miss Fern Ivie, Mrs. Floyd Bray and Miss Erma Bray of Provo. James Holley of Mapleton and Miss Mildred Thomas of Spanish Fork were granted a license to wed Wednesday at the colnty court house. Miss La Rue Davis entertained a group of school friends at a nicely arranged birthday part at her home Tuesday. Games followed follow-ed by a dainty luncheon were enjoyable en-joyable features of the evening. Mrs. C. G. Sanford of Paul, daho is visiting relatives and i friends here. She came especially 1 for the funeral of Dimick Childs, a brother-in-law. j Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Olsen and children of. Salt Lake were in Miss Dorothy Long, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Long, was hostess at a birthday party at her home Friday evening. Games and refreshments were enjoyed by about fifteen school friends. Word is received here of the birth of a son to Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Murdock of Chicago, 111. Mrs. Murdock was formerly Miss Captola Cherrington of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Will Rothwell of Arco, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Childs of Castle Gate were among the relatives who came here the past week to attend the Dimick Childs funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Roylance, accompanied by their son Fred, also George Roylance left the past week for Rexburg, Idaho, on account ac-count of the serious illness of Mr. Roylance's brother, Alma Roylance Roy-lance i Mrs. Thelma Clark and daughter daugh-ter came from Kingsman, Arizona, the past week to spend several days with her mother, Mrs. Maud Curtis and other relatives here. Mrs. Curtis will return with Mrs. Clark for a short visit. |
