Show Meteorologist Says Guessing Weather Easy SPOKANE, Wash (American Wire) Any weather observer who can't predict the next day's weather correctly tour out ot live times is not a good weatherman, E. M. Keyser, meteorologist in charge of the U. S. weather bureau bu-reau here since 1921, said today. "Anybody could guess right 50 per cent of the time on a basis of law of averages, like flipping a coin," Keyser said. Uncle Sam's weathermen scattered scat-tered in principal cities thruout the nation have an average of 85 per cent accuray in predicting weather for the next 24 hours, he said. Most phone -calls and other inquiries in-quiries come to the weather bureau bu-reau on extremely cold days in winter, Keyser said. Unusually hot weather elicits the next most inquiries. |
