Show BILL TERRY'S CREW IS RATED 8-5 FAVORITE NEW YORK, June 28 Bill j Terry's National league all-stars today were rated an 8-5 favorite to defeat the American league forces in the all-star game at Vvashington, July 7. Headed by three of the greatest pitchers in the game Carl Hub-bell, Hub-bell, Dizzy Dean and Van Lingle Mungo the Nationals will present pre-sent a hard barrier for the American Ameri-can league players to hurdle. With each of these hurlers assigned to bear down for three innings, the Americans are given little chance. National league hitters to play in the game average better than those of the American. Not counting count-ing pitchers, the senior circuit stars have a combined batting average av-erage -of .339, as against .322 for their opponents. Manager Joe McCarthy of the Americans refuse to announce their starting lineups, but the general gen-eral guess is that these stars will be in there when the first pitch is thrown: Americans Rolf, New York, 3b; DiMaggio.
