Show What's Doing In Kiwanis Attorney I. E. Brockbank ot Provo, has been secured to speak at the regular Kiwanis club meeting Thursday night, at Memorial hall, the program to be in commemoration oL CoTuTn-bus CoTuTn-bus day. It is A. O. Packard's turn to be toastmaster, according accord-ing to Secretary D. B. Welch, and he promises a "sweet, short and snappy time." Music is to be furnished by a trio from the high school under direction of Carl O. Nelson, music mu-sic supervisor. Last Thursday evening, the Kiwanis club acted as hosts to about 40 school teacher os Spungville and Mapleton, at their regular weekly luncheon and program. Burton K. Farnsworth, state supervisor of elementary education, educa-tion, was the principal speaker, discussing the subject, "Foundation "Founda-tion , of American Democracy." He compared the schools of this country with those of Europe and stated that those here are by far the most democratic in the world. Program numbers during the meeting were furnished by Miss Hannah Rowland, who gave vocal vo-cal solos; Glenn Coffman, vocal solos, and Miss Bernice Park, who entertained with readings. |
