Show ( $ 1 Local The state agricultural conservation conser-vation committee announces that the final date for filing work sheets in all counties in Utah is June 25. Work sheets may be left at the county agent's office at any time or with the members of the county committee as follows: Mapleton at City hall, Tuesday, June 9; Springville at city hall, Wednesday, June 10. All sugar beet growers expecting expect-ing to participate in benefit payments pay-ments under any sugar program must file a work sheet. In fact, it shall be to the advantage of every farmer to file a work sheet. Then if he qualifies for payment, he will be in a position to receive it, while if he does not qualify there wil lbe no obligation. Bert Fullmer of this city, who graduated from the Brigham Young university, Provo, Wednesday, Wednes-day, with majors in horticulture and landscape gardening has accepted ac-cepted a position as assistant in the horticulture department of the B. Y. U. for the coniing year. Mr. Fullmer has received some practical prac-tical experience in his chosen profession pro-fession while woi'king at the local floral during his spare time. Springville veterans, who are eligible to receive a bonus are asked to remain at home on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, June 17, between 5 and 7 p. m., when the bonus bonds will be delivered to them at their homes. The bonds will not be delivered de-livered to anyone but the veteran who must sign for same according to a report from the local post office. The annual reunion of the Aver-ett-Farnsworth families is being arranged for July 11 and 12 at Balsom Park in Hobble Creek canyon, officers of the family organization or-ganization announce. A program, sports and other amusements for the two days will be announced later. Creek Brimhall, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Brimhall of this city is convalescing from an operation for appendicitis which he underwent under-went last Sunday at a local hospital. |
