Show SUNDAY NIGHT BAND CONCERT ATTRACTS MANY The first of a series of summer band concerts by the high school band under the direction of Del-mar Del-mar Dickson, Sunday night, at the City park, was received with much enthusiasm and a large crowd of local people in addition to many from out-of-town were in attendance. The city park furnished a splendid splen-did setting for the entertainment and the students played with a fineness acquired from constant rehearsal and able leadership. Only one factor came near marring mar-ring the splendid entertainment for those who had assembled to hear the program. The confusion caused by children running, romping romp-ing and making noises louder than some of the instruments in the band prevailed almost throughout the whole evening. Comments on the confusion came from many people who had driven from nearby towns and parked their cars to hear the music. While it would be a deplorable deplor-able situation to prohibit children from attending the concerts, something some-thing must be done to improve the existing condition. It is hard for any music to be played in competition com-petition with noises such as were heard at the park. It is therefore there-fore asked of parents of the community com-munity to cooperate with the band management and the officers and keep the children quiet otherwise more stringent measure will of a necessity be taken. The program for the concert Sunday evening is announced as follows: 1. Officers of the Day by Hall. 2. Song of the Islands, by King. 3.
