Show LAURA BANNER TO REPRESENT , B. Y. U. AT MEET Laura Banner of Springville has been chosen to'represent Brigham Young university in the girls' track meet to be held at Logan in connection with the Women's Athletic asociation convention in the spring quarter, according to Miss Wilma Jeppson, assistant professor pro-fessor of physical education. Representatives Rep-resentatives of the University of Utah, Utah StaTe college and Brigham Young university will attend the convention. "Miss Banner is one of our most ! outstanding girl athletes," Miss Jeppson said. "She has excelled in basketball, endball, speedball, the sixty yard dash and she gives promise of becoming one of our best dancers." She has represented her class in several inter-class athletic" contests con-tests and captained the winning girls' basketball team in the intramural in-tramural tournament. While attending the Springville high school, Miss Banner distinguished dis-tinguished herself by taking first place in the women's sixty-yard dash and the baseball throw at the B. Y. U. invitational track meet last spring. She was also an outstanding out-standing basketball player. She was graduated . from the Springville high school in 1933 and is now a freshman at B. Y. U. |
