Show UTAH PATRIARCH CRASH VICTIM PAYSON li W. Hatch, Si, one of the most prominent and well known residents of southern Utah, died, in the Pavmn hosprl-U at 6:15 p. m. Tuesday from injuries in-juries received at 5:30 in an automobile auto-mobile collision on the highway one mile east of Payson. He was an uncle of the Clark brothers, Provo physicians. His daughter. Mrs. Amy Hatch Reynolds, 45, of Maplefon was badly cut about the face and had body bruises and cuts. Her husband hus-band V. G. Reynolds, (SO. driver of the car was also badly cut and bruised as were their two children, Mary 11, and George 10. The Reynolds car an Ossex sedan was demolished in a hear! on collision with a small coupe driven by Caleb T. Hartley, 21, nf Indianola. Glade Spencer, 18, of Spanish Fork, son of Mrs. Dave Gull was a passenger in the coupe. Hartley was cut and bruised. Spencer was uninjured. Deputy Sheriff Reuben Christiansen Chris-tiansen and W. T. Lewis who Investigated In-vestigated the accident removed Hartley to Provo to be booked on a charge of involuntary manslaughter. man-slaughter. Hartley had been attending at-tending the celebration at Payson and at the horse races he met voting Spencer, an acquaintance.
