Show WAR DECLARED ON DESTROYERS OF GAME BIRDS With a hope of giving game birds in the west fields greater protection, protec-tion, members of the Springville Fish and Game Protective association associa-tion signified their intention of declaring de-claring war on predatory birds and animals, at a meeting of officers of the organization hejd in the Library building Monday evening. It is pointed out that crows, magpies, mag-pies, roaming housecats, and other species of animals and birds are very destructive to the eggs and young game birds. To stimulate interest and action in a campaign that will tend to eliminate these destructive birds and animals the association will offer its members three prizes- to be given to persons bagging the greatest number of them. The prizes consist of a fine fishing fish-ing rod, an automatic reel, and a box of shotgun shells, according to announcement of William Weight secretary. The contest will begin next Sun- j day and last two weeks, it is stated.; All members are expected to participate, par-ticipate, and a record of the catches will be kept. The committee in charge of the contest includes, Rondo Friel, J. Milton Brown, Fred Smith and Leon Blackett. |
