Show WOMAN AGENT IS APPOINTED Utah county will have a home j demonstration agent in the person of Miss Amy J. Leigh, well known household1 economist, according to . infoimation disclosed here Friday. Miss Leigh's appointment was re- j cently made by William Peterson, director of the extension division of Utah State Agricultural college, and Mrs. Pvena B. Maycock, assistant as-sistant director. While this appointment has not been officially confirmed by the board of Utah county commissioners, commission-ers, it is understood that Miss Leigh's selection meets with their approval. She will begin her duties here on August 1. She will attend the special spe-cial course at the Utah State Agri-cural Agri-cural college before assuming her new duties in this county. Miss Leigh is not new to the housewives of Utah county, she having hav-ing served as home demonstration agent in 1923. At present she is doing some advanced work in home economics in the branch college at Cedar City, it is stated. |
