Show County Agent's Department J NEW STAFF MEMBER Miss Amy J. Leigh will be the new home demonstration agent for Utah countv and will be in Ihe county within the next few weeks. Miss Leigh conies very woil rc.'om-mended rc.'om-mended and has had most excellent training. She will work with the the women and the 4-H club girls. There are now nearly fifty 4-H girls clubs in the county and the organi-: organi-: zation is ready for Miss Leigh to step right in and go to work. The clubs extend from Cedar Fort on the north of Goshen on the south. Miss Leigh now becomes the third meruber of the extension staff in Utah county. FRUIT TOUR An interesting fruit tour will take place through the state on I August 18 and 19. Three farms will be visited in Utah county. These farms are located in Orem, Provo and Payson districts. It is expected that many Utah county farmers will attend the state wide tour which continues north to Cache valley. Advantages in thinning, and other modern methods of improving improv-ing orchard management will be demonstrated. FARM BUREAU BASEBALL Do you want to feel' that old spirit thrive? Do you want to get : thr-11? il so, the tjlun ounty Farm Bureau offers the following schedule of games from their eight baseball teams, in different parts of the county, for the following weeks' schedule. July 8 benjamin at Lehi; Orem at Spanish Fork;. Lake Shore at Payson. July 9 -Salem at American Fork. Come out and enjoy an evening's entertainment. Partake of the Farm Bureau spirit. A good clean, live and entertaining baseball game. ATT I : X 1) CON V K X T ION The officers of the Utah County Faim r.ureau executive board and the local presidents of the different local farm bureaus in the counly are attending the Western States Loaders Training school, which is j being held at Santa Ana. California, in Orange county. Here the leaders will receive help and instruction on i different methods of home cooperation cooper-ation to be used in the home farm bureau.
