Show W. K. HATFIELD DIES AT HOME, OAKLAND, CAL. Word was received in Springville Spring-ville Sunday of the death at Oakland, Oak-land, Calif., of William K. Hatfield, Hat-field, 66, former builder and contractor con-tractor of this city. Death was due to pneumonia following an appendicitis ap-pendicitis operation. Interment was at Oakland. Mr. Hatfield was born at Manti, May 7, 1867 a son of John and Rhoda Gifford Hatfield. The family fam-ily moved to Springville in 1868 where he lived until 1923, when he moved to California. He was an active L. D. S. church member and filled a mission in the southern states from 1896 to 1898. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Kate Ansell Hatfield and four sons and daughters, Mrs. Florence Clark, Provo; James W., Frank R. and Lydia Hatfield, Oakland; two sons and a daughter by a former marriage, Mrs. Belva Martin, William Wil-liam and Ernest Hatfield of Maple-ton; Maple-ton; two sisters, Mrs. Deborah Clegg, Dubois, Idaho; Mrs. Rhoda Hatfield, Springville. |
