Show State Hospital Board Wants To Cooperate With School Utah state hospital will continue to accept the untrainable types of feeble-minded persons and will give full cooperation to the Utah State Training school in American Fork, it was voted by the state board of insanity in a meeting Thursday evening. The school at American Fork is not equipped to handle the cases on account of the small size of the appropriations, fhus the board members thought that the Utah state hospital should cooperate with the younger institution, as far as possible. The decision arose out of the court case in which H. H. Ramsey, superintendent of the American Fork school was cited for contempt con-tempt into tlie Fourth district court last Tuesday by Judge A. V. Watkins because the superintendent superintend-ent sent back two cases committed to the institution by Judge Wat-kins Wat-kins and Judge George Worthen on different occasions. A 10 per cent wage cut for all employees receiving over $90 a month at the hospital was voted to go into effect, according to the order of the state board. About 20 employees will be affected by this ruling Dr. Frederick M. Dunn, sup-ei sup-ei intendent, reported . n August 1 there was a total of 932 patients, it was reported by Superintendent Dunn. In July 22 patients were received, 25 were discharged dis-charged and 6 died was the report. The board inspected the new dairy barn w'hich is practically completed and" expressed them-slvps them-slvps as well pleased with the structure. I |
