Show REDUCTIONS IN GAS REVIEWED Reduction in gas rates for Provo rnd Utah county, announced Tuesday Tues-day by L. Fitzpatrick, executive of the Wasatch Gas company, are to be made as follows: Virtually all rates on gas useu for induFtiial purposes 'are reduced from 5 cents to 1 cent per 1,000 cubic feet. For some classes uf larger users, the minimum is lowered low-ered by $25 to $50 per year. Smail domestic consumers are not affected. af-fected. The new schedule of Provo rates follows: one dollar for 700 cublo feet or less per month; 104 cents per 100 feet for the next 1,300 cubic feet; 6' cents per 100 feet for the next 2,000 cubic feet; 4 cents per 100 feet for the next 2,000 cubic feet; 3 cents per 100 feet for the next 4,000 cubic feet. For the next 25.000 cubic feet, making a total of 35,000, 2.75 cents per 100 feet will be charged, and for the next 50,000, '2.25 cents. All gas over 85,000 cubic feet will be at the rate of 1.8 cents per 100 feet. Gas officials declare that the revised re-vised rates are of particular advantage ad-vantage to those using gas for house heating. i |
