Show F. M. HOUTZ ; PASSK AWAY - Frederick Meast Houtz, Jr.," 54, farmer and well respected citizen of Springville and Lake Point, died Monday night at the home of his sister, Mrs. Josee Alleman of Springville. Death followed a sudden sud-den heart attack which the man suf'tcrcd eailier in tho d:iy while er.route to Springville irom Lake Point. Mr. Houtz was born in Sprlng- Ville. July 25, 1876. He had charge of the Bonneville Grain and Milling Mill-ing company of Lake Point. He was justice of the peace of the Lake Point precinct, also game warden. He had always taken an active part in the athletic affai's of the community, being manager of the baseball team. -He was a i member of the Eagles and Maccabees. Macca-bees. Surviving are his widow, Lillian Powell Houtz; two sons by a former for-mer marriage, John Roylance Houtz and Glen Mitchell Houtz of Springville; two sisters, Mrs. Jom Alleman and Mrs. Lucinda H. Binks of Springville; and two brothers, J. R. Houtz of Helper and K. R. Houtz of Roosevelt. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 o'clock in the Springville Second ward chnpcl. , |
