Show MUCH COURT ACTION LIKELY; WASHINGTON, Nov. 23 (UP) Government counsel prepared today to-day to face a full winter of court action, growing from various phases of the Fall-Sinclair Teapot Dome case and subsequent jury tampering charges. To the series of cases now pending were added today contempt proceedings against Harry F. Sinclair, millionaire oil magnate; William J. Burns, detective detec-tive agency head, and four of their associates. Indictments are expected expect-ed boo nin the jury tampering case, adding another to the long series of inter-related cases. Lawyers themselves are confused. The government today took its first step to bring some order from the confusion by moving to continue con-tinue the hearing on a complaint against Sheldon Clark, Sinclair lientenant, for alleged attempts to influence the jury. It was set for next Friday but the date was , changed to December 5, the day : when Sinclair, Burns and their aides will appear here to show cause why they should not be cited 1 for contempt. |
