The men chosen as city officials should be capable of mapping and following a program designed to keep taxes reasonable and wisely expend money raised to insure public safety, support municipal service departments and for up-keep of city property. Each individual voter has a definite obligation. In fairness to the 12 candidates in the field for six offices (excluding unopposed City Recorder Eugene Morris and holdover Councilman C. A. Morley, the latter not listed on the ballots) all registered voters should go to the polls next Tuesday. A heavy vote will give officials named proof of general public confidence and the heartening knowledge that voters are interested in city affairs. Contesting candidates are alike in this respect: they are sincerely concerned with problems of local government. Any possible combination of six from the 12 running for office would give their civic duties earnest consideration. These men merit the study of every voter.
