Show League Action Few dispatches from Europe have been more interesting than the one which told how the league of nations had Issued nn ultimatum to Greece and Bulgaria, informing them bluntly that they must cease forthwith all warlike demonstrations. The league was founded to do just such things. Foryears it ducked its head whenever war clouds arose on the horizon as .witness its action when Mussolini seized Corfu, for ex-limple ex-limple Now it seems that it is getting ready to act. ' iOf course, the league isn't risking m-.ieh by ordering two comparatively weak nations like Greece and Bulgaria wound. Perhaps if France and Italy, for instance, were involved, it would be different. But at all events the league policy has undergone a change, and it will be interesting to see if it is adhered to hereafter. |
