Show One of the most delightful picnic' socials of the late week was given Friday afternoon by ladies of the Home Culture club at the home of Mrs.' L. M. Gillilan and Miss Elizabeth Eliza-beth Gillilan. Assisting hostesses were Mrs. C. F. Packard, Mrs. Nephi Gledhill, Mrs. A. W. Flnley, Mrs. Sophia Packard, Mrs. Glenn "Wood-mansee, "Wood-mansee, Mrs.' John R. Anderson, Mrs. Harold Christensen, Mrs. D. B. "Welch. A splendid musical program was featured in which Mrs. C. P. Eakin of Pittsburgh, Pa., sang a solo; Miss Elizabeth Gillilan and Mrs. Eakin a vocal duet; Miss Florence Flor-ence Dougall of Salt Lake, a solo; Miss Catherine R. Dougall, solo; Miss Tess Hines, piano solo. Several Sev-eral competitive games were played during which prizes were won by Mrs. V. S. Wilson, Mrs. Ercel Holt, Mrs. E. V. Borman, Mrs. Sarah Houtz, Mrs. A. W. Finley, Mrs1. W. L. Grooms, and Mrs. H. E. Urqu-hart. Urqu-hart. In conclusion delicious refreshments re-freshments were served. The Second ward Sunday school class taught by Carl Crandall presented pre-sented their teacher with a beautiful beauti-ful fountain pen and pericil, Sunday Sun-day morning, as a taken of appreciation appre-ciation and remembrance. Mr. Crandall will leave tomorrow tc spend the winter in New York City Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Wingate entertained en-tertained a number of relatives at their home Sunday in the form of a family reunion in compliment to Mr. and Mrs. F. O. D. Meakin, who will leave soon to make their home in Los Angeles, California. Dinner was served and guests included the following relatives: Mr. and Mrs. F. O. D. Meakin, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Watson and son. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Meakin and three children, ail of Salt Lake. , |
