Show KIWANIANS OF SPRINGVILLE IN T CONVENTION Springville Club Elects Delegates Dele-gates to District Gathering Gather-ing in Provo. Prof. T. Earl Pardoe of the-B. T. university and Principal R. L-Done L-Done of the Springville high school were the speakers at the Sprins-ville Sprins-ville Kiwanis club luncheon Thursday Thurs-day evening, August 14, when the wives and partners of the members were invited guests. Mr. Pardoe gave a very entertaining entertain-ing talk on the .need and benefit of a certain amount of good hearty laughter. Mr. Done, who has just returned from Los Angeles, where he has been attending summer school at the University of California, gave his impressions of California. Dr. John R. Anderson was master mas-ter of ceremonies aud Ed Payne acted as toastmaster. The attendance attend-ance prize was won by A. O. Packard. Pack-ard. ' At a business meeting of the Springville Kiwanis club held Monday Mon-day evening, August 18, the following fol-lowing delegates and alternates were elected to attend the Kiwanis district convention of the Utah-Idaho Utah-Idaho district at Provo, August J.1, 22 23. Delegates, M. O. Packard, Dr John R. Anderson and M. E. : Crandall, Jr.; altcrates, John Mcn-denhall, Mcn-denhall, Grant Crandall and M. K. Straw. . The following were appointed a reception committee to take care of the visitors Friday afternoon, Au"ust 22, when the Kiwanians of the" Utah-Idaho district in convention conven-tion at Provo will visit the Springville Spring-ville art gallery in a body between the hours of 5 and 6 p. in.: .1. . Wingate, R. L. Done, Wayne Johnson, John-son, 'G. L. Barron, W. N. Grooms. Harold Christensen and A. G. Johnson. All Springville Kiwanians wilh their wives will also be present pres-ent to aid the reception committee. A L Garbett, M. K. Straw and Wm A Firmage w-cre named as a committee of three to represent the Kiwanis club before the Springville citv council.
