Show SCHOOL LAW IS ENFORCED i About twelve Springville people were brought before Judge George W Worthen of the juvenile court ai the Springville high school last Tuesday to give reasons why students stu-dents under their care are not complying com-plying with the state school attendance at-tendance law. No penalties were given. However, How-ever, after the law had been explained ex-plained by the judge (hey were notified noti-fied that if they did not comply with the law they would he brought back and sentenced. Principal B. E. Knudsen of the high school announces that about 20 students have started the part time school Which began: Dec., 14. The school has ben established for the benefit of those students under IS years of age who are compelled to stay away from school during the harvest season. A special course of ,a practical nature has ben formed which is hoped will meet the individual need of each student concerned. This school is the outcome of the state school attendance law. ( |
