Show HERMIT DIES IN SOiJTODE Frank Baker Is Name of Man Found Dead Near i Thistle Frank Baker, 80, a hermit on Crab Creek, three miles south of Thistle, found dead in .his enbiu Friday afternoon. Investigation Investiga-tion by the sheriff's office late Friday Fri-day established the identity of the aired man. Baker had lived in the cabin for approximately 29 years, prospecting in the surrounding mountains, and eahritably inclined people of Thistle are said' to have looked after his immediate wants. Dewey Sargent ,a trapper, found the body of the aged man in .his cabin. The condition of the body indicated that he had been dead tor two weeks. Sargent knew Baker well, and saw him several weeks ago. Deputies B. F. Roper and F. S. Willis brought the body to Provo, and it is now at the Hatch Funeral Home. .Nothing is known of the man's antecedents. A sister is said to lie living, at Spanish Fork, but no one of that mime is known in that city. Baker had led a typical hemifs lite for years, and was uncommunicative uncommuni-cative as to his past history. |
