Show Wilson Is Named Head Of U.H.S.A.A. Melvin Wilson of Payson was named president of the Utah State High Schciol Athletic association at it annual meeting Saturday. S. J. Foster of Cedar City was elected vice president of the organization, organi-zation, and other officers remain as in the past. The outstanding act of the meeting meet-ing was the decision to allow the junkyr college athletes of East, West and L. D. S. to participate in high school competition during 1929-1930. This ruling was adopted cjue to the establishment of these junior colleges in the two big Salt j Lake high schooJs, which made a clarification of their status absolutely abso-lutely necessary; ' The executive committee was empowered em-powered to decide whether a state cl.smpioi.ship game between A and B. class teams in state football play should be held or not. Discussion of a plan of rotating the state high school track meet between Utah 'U', U- A. C. and I possibly B. Y. U. was taken up, final decision to be made at a later late. Chicago this spring. |
