Duggan, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Briskie, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garrity and daughter, Mary Frances, all of Eureka. Following dinner they played progressive five hundred. The Second ward '"M" men wore entertained at the home of Mr. and "rs. J. F. Bringhurst. Thursday i evening. Dinner was served and j games played. There were sixteen j men present. Miss Eleanor Prows of Provo was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Childs Friday night. Pat Ward was home from Soldier Summit from Friday utinl. Tuesdav. Mrs. R. L. Lawrence and baby, of. Salt Lake, are here to spend two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. W. A McKenzie. Mr. J. M. Suinsion has gone to Mylon for a few days. Mrs. AY. L. Grooms spent Friday in Spanish Fork with her daughter, Mrs. G. Ray Hales. Mrs. R. E. Knowldon. formerly Miss Bertha McKenzie. is hero from Berkley, Calif., to visit Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McKenzie. I The Gleaner ghis of the Springville Spring-ville Fourth ward enjoyed an evening eve-ning of genuine entertainment at the home of Miss Melba Roylance Saturday, Sat-urday, November 6. Backward dresses and backward games created much merriment during the evening. A delicious luncheon was arranged backward to the following: Misses Inez Wheeler, Melva Hodden, Mary Roylance, Gwen Martin, Clara Brown, Hannah Roland, Rheta Roylance, Roy-lance, Mrs, Madge Thorn, Mrs. G. U. Maycock, Mrs. Lela Sumsion. Mrs. Lula Mendenhall. Mrs. Hazel Robinonw Mrs. Cecil Robinson and the hostess; JUiss Roylance. The members of the Home Culture Cul-ture club were entertained by their husbands Saturday evening. A delicious de-licious luicheon was served at the high s.chool by Miss Florence Childs and some of the cirls of the Dome- ! tic Science department. During the luncheon there were humorous speeches and stunts' j-iven by the men. Later in the evening ' thev went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Wingate to play cards. There were eight tables of progressive five hundred. The prize for hit.ii score was won by Mrs. A. M. Lyall. Draw-prizes Draw-prizes were won bv Mrs. D. A Smith and Mrs. M. AY. Bird. Mr. and Mrs. D. M .Crandall. who spent the summer and early autumn nn Provo Bench, have returned to Springville for the winter. Mr. and M,rS. J. AA'. Whiting. Mrs. Eliza Thorn and Miss Orpha Deil motored to Salt Lake and Og'rton Thursday. Mrs. D. P. Brinton had ns her week-end guest, her sister, Airs. G. M. Smith of Salt Lake.
