Show INTERESTING ADDRESSES AT ROUND-UP : Educators and Farm Leaders Speak at Springville High School. Interesting, timely and instructive were the talks given nt the Sprlng-ville Sprlng-ville hlfjb school last Thursday and Friday, February 19 and 20, at the farmers and housewives roundup, Riven1 by the extension department of the Agricultural College and the B. Y. II. In connection with the agricultural agri-cultural department of the high school- with George L. Barron in charge. '' - ' ' Although a large number of citizens citi-zens did not avail themselves of the opportunity to attend, those who did attend felt amply paid for the time spent. It'was a teal opportunity for the boys and girls of the high school to come In personal contact with the greatest college professional experts, ex-perts, in the state and the interest that was manifest by these students is indicative of the effect it will have o their future careers. Among f those who gave talks were:' Prof. Alder, Dr::H. J. Frederick Fred-erick and Prof. Abell of the faculty of-the tt!nh Agricultural college; Prof. :C. :Y.' Cannon, It. It. Merrill and Dean H. V. Hoyt of. the B. Y. U.; W.. H. Olin, agriculturist, of the B. & Tt: G.-i-ailroad; Mr. Heart of the Federated Fruit & Vegetable Marketing association ; Mrs. Sadie 0. Morris, state nutrition specialist ; Mrs. Renft B: May-cock, state home demonstration leader; Miss Buby Smith Utah county home agent; Mrs. Victoria B. Christensen, state health specialist and Miss Afton Odell,. state clothing specialists An excellent program of readings' and musical features was worked in with each course given, . |
