Show BOYD GETS 'EM AND BALLIF DOES THE REST The sheriff's office, assisted by two federai .prohibition agents, celebrated Washington's birthday Monday by making five raids, all of which netted them a large quantity, quan-tity, of. intoxicants and some stills. Less than four blocks from the sheriff's office the officers located two stills ol'twenty and five gallons capacity. Moonshine had just been made at the' place as a large batch of mash had just been run ofr. Three 50-gallon barrels of mash were in readiness for the next brew and a large carton of yeast cake wus in readiness to 'swell matters iu general. Five gallons of moonshine moon-shine were also confiscated. In the noillieast section of the citv the raiders discovered at one place 5i5 gallons of "dago red" wine and 100 gallons of cider. Two gallons of wine were found in a home iu the extreme northeast section of the city. At Springville two women were arrested for having in their possession posses-sion a large quantity of home brew, which was confiscated by the officers. offi-cers. At Lehl a dripking party was Interrupted. In-terrupted. Four men were arrested and hollies of beer and a small bollle of alcohol were tho loot of the raiders. Three of those arrested were brought! before Judge George S. lhillif, Tuesday. One of the Provo men was sentenced to pay a fine of and to servo six months in the county jail; one of the Springville women accepted the blame for the presence of the home brew In her home and was fined $200. .
