Albert Cheever was host to 13 members of the deacons' class of the Copperton LDS ward Saturday Sat-urday evening. Karl Hoffman was present also. Refreshments were served following an enjoyable enjoy-able evening of progressive games. Mrs. Heber Nichols was hostess hos-tess at a bridge luncheon for Mrs. Charles Sullenger, Mrs. James Denver and Mrs- J. Dewey Knudsen. High score was held by Mrs. Denver. An evening of dining and dancing danc-ing at the Hotel Utah was enjoyed en-joyed Saturday by Miss Mildred Jensen, John Niemi and Mr. and Mrs. Roy C- Hatch, the occasion being Miss Jensen's birthday. Mrs. K. Tassainer was hostess at a party Monday evening, the 13th birthday of her daughter, Shirley. Refreshments were served serv-ed to the Misses Marilyn De Bruin, Lois Peterson, Ruth and Rae Barnett, Helen Rogers, Irene Curry, Joyce Hansen, Dahrl Rae Miller, Gloria Peterson, Norma Nicholl, Maureen Buckle, Patricia Patric-ia Bennion, Lorraine Tobiason and Jenna Vee Olsen. J. Sullivan, president of the American Legion auxiliary auxil-iary to post No. 30, entertained the members of the executive board at a bridge luncheon Thursday at the home of Mrs-Charles Mrs-Charles Sullenger. Following the P.-T.A. meeting at the Copperton Grade school Wednesday evening the school band under the direction of La-Vern La-Vern J. Dickson gave an hour's concert. Opening with "East and West March", the band then presented pre-sented "Ambition Overture", "Enterprise Overture", "Campus Glory March". Mrs. Clara Mead of Salt Lake City spent the week-end at the Lester Sumnicht home. Mr. and Mrs. James Van Ev-era Ev-era Jr. and infant son, Jesse Rynier, left Wednesday evening by motor for Twin Ealls, Idaho, where Mrs. Van Evcra and baby will visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C C. Jensen and other musical numbers as yet unannounced. Mrs. Alden Nix is in Manti at the home of her sister, Mrs. Vera Mac Afee, after attending the funeral of her father, Mr. Reid of Ephraim. Mrs. Bud Nicholl and son, Richard, returned Saturday from a two-day visit with her sister, Mrs. Tom Dunn of Richfield. Mrs. Dunn is joining her husband in Compton, Cal., to make their home. The Copperton LDS ward Relief Re-lief society Singing Mothers will supply a musical program at meeting Sunday at 6:30 p. m. Mrs. F. M. Davis is director. Rebekahs Have Slate Officer As Guest Tuesday Ruth Rebekah lodge No. 7, I-O. I-O. O. F., met at the home of Mrs. Ray Buckle Tuesday evening with Mrs. Jennie Nelson of Murray, Mur-ray, vice president of the Rebekah Re-bekah Assembly of Utah, as a visitor. Named in the business meetings meet-ings as representatives and alternates alt-ernates to the State Assembly to be held in May were Mrs. A. M. Peterson, two-year representative representa-tive and Mrs. S- T. Nerdin, two-year two-year alternate; and Miss Althea Christensen, one-year representative, represen-tative, and Mrs. Mike Brisk, one-year one-year alternate. Presentation of 15 vear veteran veter-an jewels to Mrs. Clara Mead of Salt Lake City and Mrs. M. A-Stuart A-Stuart of Sandy was made by Mrs. Brisk. Mrs. Basil Doman was hostess to the second grade students and their teacher, Miss Velma Kim, Monday afternoon following classes, the occasion being Norman Nor-man Doman's eighth birthday. Norman demonstrated his skill at operating his unique miniature minia-ture railroad system. Ice cream and cake were served to 22. Mrs. Doman, assisted by Mrs. Robert Rhodda, entertained at a party Sunday afternoon for Norman. Present for games, refreshments and favors were Shanna Larsen, Helen Doman, Jimmy Rhodda of Midvale, Donald Olsen, Don Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cheever and children, Jay, Elaine and Shirley, enioyed dinner and the theatre in Salt Lake City Tuesday Tues-day evening. Among the many friends attending at-tending the funeral services of Alma- M- Iverson in Salt Lake City Monday were the Singing Mothers of the LDS church, the six pall bearers, L. Fern Pett, who was a speaker, and Ernest Deiderich and Ray Larsen, who accompanied the family to Brig-ham Brig-ham City for burial. Born at Brigham City November Novem-ber 18, 1872, Mr- Iverson was a Box Elder county school teacher teach-er for 21 years and for 18 years prior to his illness was employed by the Utah Copper company at Bingham. The family moved from Copperton to Salt Lake City last summer. Surviving are his widow, Mrs- Laura V. Peters Iverson of Salt Lake City; three sons, R. A. Iverson of Hardin, Mont., Dell M. Iverson of Logan, and Boyd D. Iverson of Murray; four daughters, Mrs- Esther Cor-thay Cor-thay of San Francisco, Mrs. Beth Nordberg of Copperton, Mrs. Verda Wight and Mrs. Leah I Wells of Los Angeles; 17 grandchildren grand-children and one great-grandchild. Mrs.- Warren G Allsop entertained enter-tained at a party Wednesday evening ev-ening in honor of her son, Richard, Rich-ard, on his eighth birthday.
