Show C. E. UNION TO ' MEET IN PROVO; 'SERVICE' THEME The first annual convention of the l'rovo dislrict, Christian Endeavor l iiiou, will be held in l'rovo May 1-1 and to in the Community church. Till' Cllion is composed of the societies socie-ties in American Fork, l'rovo. Springville and 1'ayson. The theme of tile convention will he "Service.'' which will he stressed in all the addresses given during the galhering. The sessions will open on Saturday at 10 a. in., with District President John Duffy of Springville presiding. The Uev. K. E. liachehler of l'rovo will make the address of the morning, after which department meetings will be led by John Duffy and Louisa . Rolfe Of Springville: Miss Iva Del ' Murphy of I'ayson. and Miss Gladys Parr of American Fork. j After lunch and a convention pic- j tore, a business session will he the 1 order of the day. 1'ev. Frederick II. Allen. Jr., of Mr. Pleasant, will speak. The rest of the afternoon will be devoted to recreation, in charge of the liev. S. Hall Harrett of Sprilmvillo. anil will include games anil a camp fire up l'rovo canyon. The convention will continue Sunday Sun-day afternoon at 2 p. in., with an -address by liev. William F. Hulkley ; of l'rovo, al'ler which the liible lWnn and Teen Age Oralorieal contest , will take place. The Christian En- dcavor meetings at (1:15 will be led t by State President Lily King of Salt Lake, and Mrs. liessie Faeey , Troister of Midvale. Next will come the installation of new offic- ; rs by Miss King and a missionary : pageant by the l'rovo society. All of these meetings will be open in the roibl ic. |
