Salisbury of the Springville Banking Co., president of the Utah County Chapter, American Institute ,1 Bunking left today to be iu attendance at-tendance at the annual convention k bo held this year In Dallas, Texas. Tlie Utah County Chapter of the American Institute of Banking wns orjaulzed last fall with a memher-ihip memher-ihip of more than fifty; all the thirteen banks in the county being represented in the enrollment. The object of the chapter's to promote (be educational and social welfare of Its members, ns follows: (1) the education of bankers in the theory and practice of banking and such principles of law and economics as pertain to the banking business; (2) tbe establishment and maintenance of a recognized standard of banking bank-ing education by means of official eiamination and the issuance of ccr-titkates ccr-titkates of graduation. This plan Issuliject to the general regulations of the American Institute of Bank-iue, Bank-iue, a section of the American Bankers Bank-ers Association. Under the able Instruction of Judge Ellas Hansen of the District Court a course in Commercial Law conducted by the association during the winter and spring months. Those who took this class know how practical and instructive this course was to officers as well as the hank clerks. This coming winter the course to be taken up "ill he "Negotiable Instruments" snd it Is hoped that ull the bank employees in the county will enroll for this class which will discuss ITOblems of vital interest to all bandlers of negotiable paper.
