Show CBfBRATtOM FOR JULY 24 r!iiNGVILLE f- BAND TO LEAD INACTIVITIES Springville will celebrate Pioneer lay in elalmrate fashion. This decision de-cision was reached following a meeting meet-ing of members of the Springville band with the city council Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, when the city officials offi-cials not only gave t lie band permission per-mission to lead out in staging a celebration, but also pledged their heartiest cooperation in making the day a memorable one in the history of the city. "We are going to pull off one of the finest celebrat ions in the his lory of Springville," declared Ralph Snelson, following the meeting with the city officials. "Feature of the event will be a mam mot h Pioneer Day parade which will be a case of history repeating itself. Many realistic phases of pioneer life will be enacted in the big pageant. We are going to have not less than four bands." In addition to the parade there will be a rodeo, all kinds of sporting events for the young people, base-hall base-hall and evening entertainments. Committees for the various activities ac-tivities have not yet been chosen, Mr. Snelson states, but some of the best workers of the city will be asked to assist in staging the affair. af-fair.
