Show COED SCHOOLS MOST FAVORED ( BERKELEY,' Calif, Feb. 10 (IT. pj The college lover has a staunch defender here in the person of Walter Wal-ter M. Hart, vice president of the University of California. Statistics show that co-educational universities are exactly twice as popular as those attended only by one set, Hart says. Proving that students prefer, a little love along with books and classes, his statistics are: "Out of 193 universities and colleges col-leges in the accepted lists of the Association of American Universities, Universi-ties, only six technical schools, eight universities and 27 colleges are limited lim-ited to men's attendance, and only 2S for women. "At the same time, 28 universities, universi-ties, eight technical schools and SS colleges are co-educational. "Each kind of institution has advantages ad-vantages and disadvantages, from an educational standpoint But, as for popularity, our national answer lo the question can bo inferred from tho figures." |
