Its Up To Us The recent session of the legislature changed the law with respect to the use of alcohol al-cohol and tobacco by miners. The age limitation was changed- from 21 years to 19 years on the plea that 'public sentiment was not in line with the old limitation, and as a consequence the law was unenforceable un-enforceable and had become a dead letter. It is a truism, of course, that any law to be enforceable, enforce-able, must have a preponderance preponder-ance of public sentiment behind be-hind it. At a recent Youth Conference on alcohol and ta-bacco ta-bacco held in Salt Lake City, 340 teenage delegates asked that the new law be vigorously vigorous-ly enforced. We understand that a concerted effort is to be made in Springville to do just that, and whether or not the |
