Mr. Davis teaches in the Alahambra High School during the school year. Bishop and Mrs. Stewart C. Whiting and family left Monday Mon-day morning for a vacation trip to Texas where they will visit her sister and husband. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bradford and family and with friends in the Texas Missionfield. Mr. and Mrs. Juan Whiting and family have as their house guests two of her nephews from Louisiana. Stephen Wiscombe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wiscombe, is confined to the Utah Valley Hospital where he underwent major surgery last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Bennett Ben-nett are enjoying a visit from their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.- Bill (Kathleen) Shaw and son of Oregon. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cox have been their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Farnsworth and children of Ogden. ' Mr. and Mrs. Blake Everett have received word of a grandson, grand-son, born to their daughter, Lorraine and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Wetherall of Nephi. The new baby has one sister. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hansen spent several days in their Mapleton home. He is employed employ-ed in southern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Binks have returned to their home in Bell Gardens, Calif., after spending three weeks visiting with friends and relatives in Mapleton. Visiting herefrom Vernal are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hopla and two children. They have been house guests at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Larson and Mrs. Mabel Ma-bel Hopla. Mrs. Florence Stone and son Leonard are home after a pleasant plea-sant visit with her daughter, Vera and family who live in Phoenix, Arizona. The Maple Blossom 4-H Club took a tour of a lumber company com-pany at their last meeting. Class leaders are Mrs. Paul Best and Mrs. Duane Rowberry. Spending several months at the home of their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Johnson, are two grandchildren from Southern California. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fry and family of Anaheim, Calif., are spending several days visiting vis-iting with Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hjorth and with relatives in Provo. |
