The Peace Corps has accepted accep-ted invitations from the governments gov-ernments of the Dominican Republic, Re-public, Senegal, Niger and Morocco to send Volunteers to assist in various agricultural development programs. Volunteers selected for the Dominican Republic project will be assigned to rural community com-munity development, rural . youth work, livestock improvement, improve-ment, conservation and work in assisting rural cooperatives. Those selected for Senegal, JNiger, and Morocco will be assigned to Agricultural Extension Ex-tension work, soil conservation, pasture improvement, irrigation irriga-tion and livestock and dairy improvement. These projects require agricultural specialists and workers with training or experience in various agricultural agricul-tural fields. Training volunteers selected for these projects will begin in October or November, 1962, and will include on-the-job skills, as well as language and culture studies. Prior knowledge know-ledge of Spanish or French will be helpful, but is not a requirement for selection. Volunteers must be American Ameri-can .citizens at least 18 years of age. There is no upper age limit. The basic education requirement re-quirement is a high school ed- ucauon. ureater formal training train-ing or experience is required for some positions. Volunteers receive a living allowance for food, clothing, housing, medical care, transportation trans-portation and incidentals, plus a termination payment of $1800, based on $75 for each month of service.
