Show Can Two Live As Cheaply As One? WxMymy ; :-: '$yyw :Mf ' ,. . : , . ; . ; : . -;; yy... : When can two live (almost) as cheaply as one? When the pair are amiable twins who share their mid-morning juice break and whimsical animal-shaped cookies. Twins make news as well c as cute pictures nowadays, because there have been more twins around for the last 7 years. The stork has been delivering de-livering more than 4 million babies each year since 1954 . . . about one out of every 100 births in the U.S. produces twins or .triplets. No wonder America celebrates "Bringing Up Baby Week" in the Spring. Estimated births in 1960 were 4,247,332, which includes Hawaiian Ha-waiian newcomers for the first time. Pictured above at their regular regu-lar snack time are 14-month twins Jon and Ingrid, who are busy identifying cat, horse, duck and bunny cookies. The twins are getting double divi- dends for, as the Gerber Nutritionist Nutri-tionist points out, these animal cookies have twice the average protein content of ordinary cookies . . . each is thinly glazed with a topping that contains important B vitamins. With their cookie menagerie, Jon and Ingrid enjoy mild, strained fruit juices, developed by Gerber, especially for babies, with high vitamin C content. Says Mother, who finds twins a double delight, "When the twins are fed together, mealtime meal-time develops into a contest to see who can eat the most. They not only feed themselves, but each other, and with two wide-open wide-open mouths to feed, prepared baby foods are extra welcome 1" |
