Upwards of 150,000 hunters are expected afield during the eleven day or longer sea son for all of the states deer herd units with one deer of either sex being legal game for holders of a big game license li-cense and tag. Many hunters will seek additional deer from herd units where they have qualified to take them on special spe-cial permits and tags. Deer herd numbers and hunting hunt-ing conditions curretly point to another highly successful hunt, according to the department depart-ment of fish and game. In most sections of the state the leaves have already dropped from trees and shrubs at the higher elevations. Recent storms are expected to better hunting conditions for the upcoming seasons following the extreme drought of the past many m'onths. The department said special deer permits are still available for many herd units and reminded re-minded hunters as yet undecided unde-cided where to go that herd areas where such permits are set should afford better opportunity oppor-tunity to bag their game. All regulations covering the 1960 deer seasons are shown in the annual proclamation which is available from license agents throughout the state. Council hears ski lift plans John Davis representing the Seven Mountain Corporation, who are promoting building the Ski Lift and resort northeast of Springville, reported on the progress which has been made and stated they were anxious to hold meetings to acquaint people with the development and its possibilities.
